We Love Going On Trips

Going on trips is a great way to generate interest and excitement in a topic, bring everything learnt in a topic together and create memories that can last a life time. Some of our classes go on six or more trips during the year. Here are some of the exiting places our children have visited in the last year:

  • London - Globe Theatre and British Museum, including a walk down the South Bank and tube journeys
  • Lulworth Cove – 3 day residential trip including a day trip to the Tank Museum
  • Cinema Trips - making the most of free tickets as part of National Youth Film Festival week
  • Goldenacres Garden Centre – finding out how to care for a lot of plants in one place
  • Salisbury Fire Station – so see how the Fire Brigade can help when we need them
  • Marchwood Energy Recovery Facility – investigating how rubbish can be turned into energy
  • Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge – comparing places of worship
  • Hengistbury Head – looking for changes to the coastline made by the sea
  • Farm visit – observing signs of spring and feeding the lambs

We like to record our experiences using camera and film. Below are films of our trips to London in 2013 and the film of our residential to Lulworth Cove in 2013 which was entirely produced by one of our Year 6 pupils on an iPad.
